 Biography

Microprojection array technology for rapid, multiplexed biomarker detection.

Dr Simon Corrie’s research uses aspects of physical chemistry, materials chemistry and molecular biology to develop new assays, tools and devices with application in medical diagnostics. His main project involves developing needle-free Micropatches that can be applied to the skin to detect disease-related biomarkers – a completely new concept in diagnostics. His long-term goal is to combine technology development with biomarker discovery and validation, to develop important tests and devices that can be used at the bedside or in the home, rather than in a hospital laboratory.
