 Biography

Health Economics.

Luke Connelly is Director of ACERH UQ and Associate Director of the Centre for National Research on Disability and Rehabilitation Medicine (CONROD). His main research interest is in health economics, including the economics of health insurance, provider and consumer behaviour in health care markets, and the impact of health policies on efficiency. The focus of his current research is injury, disability, rehabilitation and compensation systems. Luke’s previous academic posts include appointments at the Brisbane Graduate School of Business and the Schools of Public Health and Economics and Finance at QUT. He has also been an adjunct to the Australian Graduate School of Management. Recent peer-reviewed publications include articles in Journal of Health Care Finance and Economics, Health Economics, European Journal of Health Economics, Journal of Health Care Finance and Controlled Clinical Trials.
