Research interests of Dr Coleman include the fields of veterinary pathology and parasitology. In the field of pathology he is interested in pigmentation disorders and has focused particularly on equine melanotic disease or "grey horse melanoma". In the field of parasitology, he is involved in projects exploring various aspects of the epidemiology and management of parasitic diseases of farm animals.
