Research interests include the role of information in the pricing of equity securities, voluntary disclosure and the quality of disclosure in annual reports, and the pricing of initial public offerings.

Peter Clarkson undertakes research and teaching in both accounting and finance. His current research interests include the role of information in the pricing of equity securities, voluntary disclosure and the quality of disclosure in annual reports, and the pricing of initial public offerings (IPOs). His work has been published in academic journals such as the Journal of Accounting and Economics, Contemporary Accounting Research, the Journal of Finance, and the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, as well as in professional periodicals. He is currently an Associate Editor of Contemporary Accounting Research and the national examiner for financial management for the Certified General Accountants' of Canada.
