Dr William Clarke's research interests are in: Organic solid and liquid waste degradation processes, including anaerobic digestion, vermicomposting and trickle flow processes for refractory organic compounds; and Measurement modeling of multicomponent systems involving biological reactions. He received his PhD from the University of Queensland in 1993.
His current research projects are in the fields of: - 2003-2005, Landfill Based Rapid Anaerobic Digestion of Municipal Solid Waste
- 2002-2004, Fundamental Knowledge Generation of Organic Solid Waste-Microorganism Interactions
- 2002-2004, Development of a Trickle Filter for Treating Sour Water from Oil Shale Processing Plants
- 2002-2003, Development of an Invessel Digester for Treating Solid Wastes in Environmental Sensitive Tourist Locations
- 2001-2003, Dynamics of flow and chemical transport/transformation in a subterranean estuary, funded by The Leverhulme Trust UK (L. Li, D. A. Barry, H. Prommer, A. Binley).
