Dr Eric Chui obtained his master’s and doctoral degree in Criminology from the University of Cambridge. He is an active researcher in social work and probation studies, and has published several book chapters and journal articles on the topics of juvenile justice, corrections and social work. Dr Eric Chui has recently been appointed as a Senior Lecturer in the School of Social Science at the University of Queensland. Prior to this, he held lecturing positions in the Department of Social Work and Probation Studies at the University of Exeter, UK, in the School of Social Work and Social Policy at the University of Queensland, and in the School of Law at the City University of Hong Kong. He is the co-editor of three books, Moving Probation Forward: Evidence, Arguments and Practice (2003, Pearson Education), Experiences of Transnational Chinese Migrants in the Asia-Pacific (2006, Nova Science) and Best Practice in the Fields of Social Work and Human Services (2006, Federation Press).
