Professor Ping Chen    Director

	Biography

Professor Ping Chen’s research interests include functional syntax; discourse analysis; pragmatics; sociolinguistics; and historical linguistics.

His current research project involves information structure in Chinese, and Chinese sociolinguistics.

He teaches in the areas of Chinese language and linguistics and is currently the Discipline Co-ordinator of the Chinese program.
