Dr Fran Boyle    Associate Professor

	Biography

Assoc Prof Fran Boyle is Head of the Social Science & Health Systems group in the School of Population Health.

Fran is a social scientist, with a background in psychology, sociology and public health and her research is concerned with the application of social sciences research methods to public health problems. Fran is particularly interested in the integration of quantitative and qualitative methods and the interface between research, policy and practice. Her research focuses on social determinants of health and people’s lived experiences of health, health services and the health system. Current research focuses on improving support for chronic disease self-management and the psychosocial impacts of pregnancy loss.
