| Pathways to Resilience Trust |
| Description: | Paula Barrett is the patron of the Pathways to Resilience Trust. The Pathways to Resilience Trust is a charitable organisation established in August 2007 with the specific aim of promoting resilience in children, adolescents and families, and to assist in the prevention of anxiety, depression and youth suicide. Its vision is to reach as many children and families as possible throughout Australia in regional and remote and low socio-economic communities, through the provision of professional development in the FRIENDS for Life prevention programs, support and resources to schools and community organisations.
Currently the Trust has two major projects, Elluminate and Project Logan. Elluminate provides subsidised or free on-line professional development training in the FRIENDS program for teachers, health professionals and community members in eligible schools and communities. This project is the subject of research through the University of Queensland. Project Logan, funded by a private donor, sees the Trust working in a number of low-socio economic schools and with refugees who have been victims of torture and trauma. |
