2012 - 2013  Australian Indigenous Studies Learning and Teaching Network
Description:  Co-led with Professor Cindy Shannon at The University of Queensland, Professor Martin Nakata at University of New South Wales, and collaborating partners at University of Melbourne, University of Sydney, Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education, and UTS.



2010 - 2012  Exploring PBL as Transformative Education in Indigenous Australian Studies
Description:  ALTC funded project “Exploring PBL as Transformative Education in Indigenous Australian Studies” led by Associate Professor Liz Mackinlay and collaborating partners at University of New South Wales, Monash University, University of Technology, Sydney, University of Newcastle, Charles Darwin University and The University of Regina. Outcomes include a change in terminology around teaching and learning Indigenous studies, a website with practical resources for educators in Indigenous Australian studies (www.teaching4change.edu.au) and a Special Issue of The Australian Journal of Indigenous Education.

2012  Keeping on Track: Teacher Leaders for Indigenous Postgraduate Coursework Students
Description:  Collaborator on the ALTC funded project “Keeping on Track: Teacher Leaders for Indigenous Postgraduate Coursework Students” project led by Australian Catholic University. My role is to facilitate a Community of Practice for Indigenous postgraduate coursework students and collect data on the experiences of Indigenous postgraduates and their lecturers.



2010 - 2011  Singing Cherbourg Style: Identity, Place and Community in the Contemporary Music Making of a Queensland Aboriginal Community
Description:  Collaboration in my capacity as ethnomusicologist with Aboriginal researcher Monique Proud on a project exploring the music making of her Aboriginal community, Cherbourg, Queensland, Australia. Outcomes of the project include a publication and DVD.



2007 - 2010  Performing on the Margins: Torres Strait Islander Women Performing Contemporary Music
Description:  Collaboration in my capacity as ethnomusicologist with Torres Strait Islander researcher Lexine Solomon exploring the experiences of Torres Strait Islander women who perform in contemporary music contexts. Outcomes of the project include a number of publications in refereed journals and books, a written report on the project Performing on the Margins: Conversations with Torres Strait Islander Women who Perform Contemporary Music and a DVD given to performers.
