Professor Paul Bailes's research interests are in: Software Reengineering & Maintenance, Software Tool Implementation and Advanced Software Technology.

He received his PhD from The University of Queensland in 1984. His current research projects are in the fields of:
• Totally Functional Programming
• Open Reengineering Platform
• Academic Adviser’s Apprentice
