 Biography

Remi’s principal research interests include diversity, conflict, emotions and communication. Her research results have been presented in many national and international conferences including Australia and New Zealand Academy of Management (ANZAM), US Academy of Management Conference (AOM), European Group for Organizational Studies (EGOS), International Association of Conflict Management (IACM), Emotions and Organisational Life (EMONET). Remi has received Best Paper recognitions in international conferences

Remi Ayoko came to the UQ Business School in 2000. Prior to this, Remi has had extensive teaching experience in tertiary institutions across three nations. She completed her MBA degree and PhD at the University of Queensland and teaches into the areas of Conflict Resolution & Negotiation, Research Methods and Managerial Skills and Communication. Remi is currently the co-ordinator of the Bachelor of Business Communication Honours Program at the Ipswich campus. Her research interests include workplace diversity, conflict, emotions, leadership, organisational and interpersonal communication, workplace spatial interactions and diversity training. She has presented her work in many national and international conferences including conferences of the Australia and New Zealand Academy of Management (ANZAM), Society of Australasian Social Psychologists (SASP), US Academy of Management, European Group for Organizational Studies (EGOS), Emotions in Organisation Life (EMONET) and International Association of Conflict Management (IACM). She has also had Best Paper recognition in international conferences such as the US Academy of Management and EMONET conferences and published her work in reputable journals such as International Journal of Conflict Management, Applied Psychology: An International Review. She has also written many book chapters. Remi is a member of the Australian Institute of Management (AIM), US Academy of Management, and International Association of Conflict Management.
