	Biography

Dr Stephan Atzert is a lecturer in German. His research interests include Arthur Schopenhauer and the history of ideas; Thomas Bernhard; Heiner Müller; Elfriede Jelinek;

His current research projects investigate the reception of Schopenhauer's philosophy, with an emphasis on Nietzsche Freud and Orientalists.

His other activities include:
• Honours and PhD supervision;
• Chief Examiner, Goethe-Institut Examination Centre Brisbane;
• Installation of SLCCS Multilanguage Computing Facility.
