	Biography

Prof Andrej Atrens's research interests are in: the service performance of engineering materials and alloy development.

He received his PhD from the University of Adelaide in 1976 and his DEng from the University of Queensland in 1997.

His current research projects are in the fields of:

• Rock bolts
  
• SCC of pipeline steels
  
• Galvanic corrosion of Mg
  
• SCC of Mg alloys
  
• Corrosion in gas plants
