	Biography

Research interests include practice development, trauma, decision making practices of critical care nurses, educational outcomes related to speciality education and a range of clinical practice issues within critical care

Leanne Aitken commenced with the Queensland Trauma Registry as the Manager and Senior Research Fellow in December 2003. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy from RMIT and a Graduate Diploma of Science in Medicine (Clinical Epidemiology) from the University of Sydney. Research activities include the epidemiology of serious trauma, outcomes of patients following admission to hospital as a result of trauma, home based rehabilitation programs and practice development within the acute care setting.
