What is profile marking?

Marking profiles is an easy way to keep track of records while searching and browsing UQ reSEARCHers. Marking profiles (or publications and projects) creates a Marked List, which can be viewed when you have finished searching. This gives you one central location to navigate to researchers and units of interest. If you use the same computer, marked lists are maintained for the next time you visit UQ reSEARCHers allowing you to quickly re-access profiles.

How to mark a profile

To mark a profile, click the Mark Profile blue button at the top right hand side of screen. This option appears for both researcher and unit profiles. A line of red text will then appear saying "Successfully marked profile." You may continue to mark profiles, and projects and publications throughout your session. To see the profiles, publications and projects currently marked, click the Marked Records option on the left hand menu. This option also displays how many records you have at any time, e.g. Marked Records (5). The centre screen now shows your marked lists. To remove some records, tick the adjacent checkbox and click Remove Selected Records. You can also choose to delete all the records by clicking Clear All, or Download to save a printable version.
