Profile Browsing
UQ reSEARCHers Administration Home -> Profile Browsing
What is Browsing?
If you are unsure exactly what you are looking for, you can browse through all the information on Solutions rather than searching for anything specific. Browsing is usually more time consuming than searching due to the number of records in UQ reSEARCHers. It may be useful if you are looking for something specific or to get a sense of the underlying structure of the University Units and Facilities. To access browsing options, click Browse on the left hand menu and several options will appear.
Browse by Researcher
This option lists researchers alphabetically by surname. Click on a letter to see all the available profiles, then click on the researcher name to access their profile.
Browse School and Research Units
This option lists units alphabetically. It is a simple list with no hierarchical ordering. Simply click on the name of the unit to access its profile.
Browse Facilities
Facilities are also listed alphabetically. Similarly, click on the name of the facility to access the profile.
Browse by Hierarchy
This browsing option allows you to see a 'top-down' view of the University in Research Solutions. The first list displays the University Faculties and University Centres. To step down the hierarchy to progressively smaller units (i.e. Schools and other Centres), click the plus sign beside a category to expand its list. Click on the name of the Unit itself to access its profile.
