The UQ Jobs home page provides access to the following search functions:

  • Quick Search
  • UQ Jobs Search.

The following is an example of the search options provided on the UQ Jobs home page.

 Search Options

Quick Search

The Quick Search function provides direct access to all available jobs in a selected category. The following quick search options are available for selection from the UQ Jobs home page:

  • Academic jobs
  • Research jobs
  • Professional jobs
  • Executive jobs
  • Scholarships.

When a quick search option has been selected, the summary details of the available jobs in the selected category are displayed on the Search results page.

 

UQ Job Search

The UQ Job Search function enables you to search for a specific job, all available jobs or define your own search parameters.
 

Searching for a specific job

To search for a specific job, enter the job number in the Keyword or job number field and click the Search button. The job advertisement for the entered job number is displayed.
 

Searching for all available jobs

To search for all available jobs, leave the default settings unchanged and click the Search button. The summary details of all available jobs are displayed on the Search results page.
 

Defining your own search parameters

To define your own search parameters, complete one, some or all of the following search options:

Search Option Description
Keyword Enter job specific key words, or part of a job title. For example, Manager Communications.
Work Types Use the check boxes to select one or more work types.
Locations Use the check boxes to select one or more campus locations.
Category From the drop-down list, select a working category.
Faculty, Institute or Administration From the drop-down list, select an organisational unit that best suits your level of experience and/or qualification.

Once the search parameters have been defined, click the Search button. The summary details of the jobs matching your search parameters are displayed on the Search results page.
