Weddings at The University of Queensland Club

The University of Queensland Club is located in the tranquil garden setting of the St Lucia campus. The view from the balcony and all function rooms, overlooks the beautifully manicured lawns and garden area
which are located right next to the lake with magnificent fountain*.

Whether a reception in on of our beautiful rooms or combined with a garden ceremony, our professional team will ensure your day is one to remember.

Your dedicated event co-ordinator will be with you all through the planning stages of your special day. They are there to assist you wherever possible and will also be with you on the special day.
On the night, they will hand over to you personal reception supervisor who will over see your function.

Garden Ceremonies

The picturesque garden and lake area of the university is an ideal setting for a truly memorable ceremony.
Imagine your guests sitting outside under the trees, next to the lake with the cascading sounds of the water fountain in the background, while a lone saxophone or violinist is playing to the arrival of the special couple down the red carpet.

Then while both of you are out enjoying photos around the many vantage spots, your guests are enjoying canapés and drinks on the lawns…….

Eleanor Room

Can comfortably accommodate up to 80 guests in a beautiful setting. The balcony offers panoramic views over the gardens and lake with the same view available from inside the room.
With a separate adjoining room which can be used as a small chill out lounge area, it is perfectly suited for intimate receptions. 
 

Kathleen Room
Is the largest room within the venue with a maximum capacity of 150 guests including a dance floor area. Also with fantastic views over the garden and lake area, the room can be very versatile in its use.
