It can take a few months before an official acceptance letter arrives from your host university. While the UQ Abroad team will do our best to keep you up to date on the progress of your application, as the processing of applications at partner universities is out of our control we would be grateful for your patience.

If you have any questions about the status of your application, please do not contact your host university directly as all enquires must be made through UQ Abroad until you are formally accepted.

While you are waiting for your acceptance pack, there are a number of ways you can get involved and meet other exchange students:

Incoming international student BBQ

Each semester UQ welcomes new international students to the university. These events provide you with the opportunity to meet incoming students from your host university to find out more about your destination.

Discovery sessions

At these sessions, you will be able to meet current applicants, past exchange students, and international students from your host university. This is a great way to talk to other students about travel plans, accommodation options, or anything else you are interested in.

Facebook

After these events you can continue your conversations online on UQ Abroad’s Facebook Group.

QUEST

QUEST is a UQ Student society which encourages UQ students to meet UQ’s incoming international exchange and study abroad students. Joining QUEST provides opportunities to participate in various activities with students from your host university.
