Students wishing to study at University of Toronto in either semester must apply to UQ Abroad by the October/November application deadline.

University of Toronto only accepts applications once per year, so if you would like to study on exchange in semester 2, 2017 or semester 1, 2018 you must apply to UQ Abroad in semester 2, 2016.

Please note that the options listed on this webpage should be used as a guide only. Additional discipline areas may be available. For current information about fields of study, course selection and language proficiency requirements, please check the host university's website.

Restricted Fields of Study:

Commerce/Management/Economics courses are extremely limited.

Biochemistry courses are not available to exchange students.

Computer Science (CSC), Visual Studies (VIS) and Drama (DRM) courses might have very few available spaces.

English (ENG) and Political Science (POL) courses at 300-400 level are very limited.

Journalism courses at the UT Scarborough Campus are not open to exchange students. 

Business and Economics are unavailable to postgraduate exchange students.

Architecture is not available.

IMPORTANT: Students cannot take courses under both the Faculty of Arts & Science AND the Faculty of Law; Students can take courses EITHER from the Faculty of Arts & Science OR the Faculty of Law.

Law Students: Please note that law applicants must have a strong GPA and no failed courses to be considered by the Toronto Law School.

Insurance: All students going on exchange to Toronto are required to purchase their mandatory health insurance.

 

Accommodation: On campus accommodation is generally unavailable to exchange students.  Most other students stay in a reconverted hotel in the city centre – around CAN$5,600 per semester (most rooms are shared), but includes all meals (1000 beds available).
