Why study at The University de Lima?

  • Student Life: Throughout the year the College of Communications screens a number of national, classic, foreign and commerical films, as well as student produced short films. 
  • Sport: There are heaps of clubs that you can join, ranging from tennis and football (soccer) to ping pong and tae kwon do.  You can also join the Mountain Climbing Association and explore parts of Peru you never even dreamed of! 
  • The Arts: There a lots of workshops available for exchange students at U Lima including: contemporary dance, peruvian dance, painting, poetry and more!
  • Services: U Lima offers students free internet access in certain areas around campus.  The Psychology Deparment offers free confidential services and workshops.

Spanish Language: 3 weeks before the start of the semester, Universidad de Lima offer san intensive (daily) Spanish crash course for exchange students.  You must confirm your participation in the course prior to exchange.  Full semester courses are not offered.

Insurance: You must have health insurance that covers accidents while studying at U Lima.  Exchange Students are covered by UQ's Travel & Health Insurance for the period of their exchange.  For more information click here or talk to your Advisor.

- Would you care to Tuna? No, there is nothing fishy about it.  It's a Spanish tradition where a group of students dressed in medieval costumes who play traditional instruments serenade.  You can do it too, it's one of the activities available at U Lima.
- PALS will help you settle in! - They are student volunteers who help you adapt to the community and introduce you to Lima's social life.
- Got a free afternoon? Why not do some paragliding with Aeroxtreme and see Lima from a different perspective!
