Emmanuel Piping Scholarships at UQ: for students who want to go on exchange at Glasgow and learn piping in the National Piping Centre. Students have to apply for residence or non-residence at Emmanuel College. Contact UQ Abroad for details.

- The University of Glasgow is the 4th oldest university in the English-speaking world.

- Glasgow is the host city of the 2014 Commonwealth Games - before the 2018 one held on the Gold Coast. Glasgow also has two famous football clubs: Rangers F.C. and Celtic F.C. Make sure you go and watch a match while you are there! 

- There is always something going on for music lovers - pop, rock, jazz, classical music and opera. Glasgow has many live music and comedy venues. The Stand Comedy Club opens 7 nights per week featuring the best UK and international comedians.
