- The University of Exeter was attended by Harry Potter's author JK Rowling as well as two grandchildren of the Queen.

- The University of Exeter has strong links with the Arab world. You can study the historical, linguistic and social aspects of the Middle East and the wider Islamic world. Arabic has been taught since early 1970s. Persian/Iranian and Kurdish Language and Literature are also taught.

-  Love Sport? Add Sports Volunteering Scheme(SVS) to your CV. SVS places you into local primary and secondary schools to coach a sport of your choice, and you could earn £100 towards a sports coaching qualification with just 10 hours of volunteering.

- Exeter is 3 hours from London. The Streatham campus is close to Plymouth, Bristol, Bath and Cardiff and is a short distance from the good surf beaches in Cornwall and Devon.
