All students studying at Tulane are required to maintain adequate health coverage throughout the duration of their exchange. Information regarding the Tulane Student Health Insurance Plan, including costs and benefits, can be found here.

While Tulane offers students the opportunity to waive the costs of the mandatory insurance for students who have alternative coverage that meets the University's requirements, UQ students are not eligible to receive this waiver and all students accepted to Tulane must purchase and apply for the mandatory Tulane Student Health Insurance Plan.

In addition to the mandatory Tulane Student Health Insurance Plan, all exchange students are required to pay the Health Center Fee at the university. (This is separate from the Health Insurance that is required for the students’ visas.) The Health Center Fee is $320.00 per semester. The fee covers visits to the Tulane Health Center on campus.
