Exchange leads to work in Qatar and San Francisco
It is commonly accepted that international experience is highly sought-after by employers. Lauren Timms and Lucy McKenzie never dreamt that going on exchange would lead them so quickly to their dream jobs.

Zara Davis: Uppsala University (Semester 1, 2011)
Get involved at a nation. Go to all of them in the first week they put on lots of activities. In a way it doesn’t matter so much which you choose to be a member of because you can go to them all but if you choose one you like and get involved it is pretty fun.

Sebastian Whittle: Uppsala University (Semester 1, 2011)
One great thing about exhange is that it allows you to be completly removed from your regular Australian life, which can help you think for yourself as well as see how people of other cultures think.

Rhys Cooper: Uppsala University (Semester 1, 2011)
The travelling, country and study are all great parts of the journey, but the most rewarding aspect of my exchange to Sweden was the people I met who will remain close friends for the rest of my life.

Khanh Trang Tran: Stockholm University (Semester 1/2011)
If I am asked by someone about my thought of being an exchange student in Stockholm University, I will say straight away “It is awesome!!!”

Kathie Grigg: Stockholm University (Semester 1/2011)
I had an amazing time on exchange. I made a lot of friends both Swedish and from many other countries. My first day in Sweden I was wondering what the hell I was doing there but by the second day, I had settled into my place, had met some people and uni had started.

Erwan Xiao: Lund University (Semester 1, 2011)
Lund really encapsulates the phrase of ‘Study hard, play hard’. It was a great experience and I enjoyed myself immensely in Lund. I wish I had stayed for a year instead!

Amanda Merritt: Lund University (Semester 1, 2010)
I could not emphasise enough how much I enjoyed my exchange, it was the best thing I have ever done!

Annika Nichols: Uppsala University (Semester 1, 2010)
When I arrived at Uppsala University I was taken care of by my university-organised, buddy. During the first week there were many activities arranged by the Nations which are student-run, student-orientated organisations representing geographical regions of Sweden. Uppsala was easy to settle into and within the first week I was having a ball!

Jane Munro: Lund University (Semester 1, 2010)
Lund is a great place to study. The city itself revolves largely around the university; so much of what goes on in Lund is designed specifically for the students.

Alanna Main: Lund University (Semester 1, 2010)
By going on exchnage to Lund University, I have achieved my dream of travelling overseas and so much more.

Wai Ning Ng: University of Uppsala (Semester 1, 2010)
Unfortunately six months just isn’t long enough. However, the friendships will last forever.

Robert Caird: Stockholm University (Semester 2, 2010)
All the classes I took while abroad were taught in English, which is also a huge advantage to native English speakers. This was even the case in one particular course where I was the only foreign student. In fact, be aware as you will often be considered an authority and your opinion called upon to answer many English language queries even during lectures.

Norman Caird: Gothenburg University (Semester 2, 2010)
A helpful suggestion would be to buy your winter clothing over there—they are better made for the conditions, usually cheaper (even in Sweden) and have a much larger range. Plus, you don’t have to lug the heavy items halfway around the world.

Wei Wu: Stockholm University (Semester 1/2008)
If you ask me, which country is the most beautiful in Europe, my answer is SWEDEN.
