Hi guys!

The weekend in Surfers was AWESOME!

The weather couldn’t have been better and it was three days of perfect holiday. We started on Sunday and came back on Monday, because it was a long weekend with Labourday on Monday, which is a public holiday in Queensland. The hostel was fine, too, but we didn’t manage to be all in the same one But that was no problem. There are a lot of Hostels in this area and the names are really similar. We stayed at the beach the whole Saturday and had BBQ in the evening. I love that about Australia! All those public BBQs everyone can use. And directly next to the beach!! We just went to the supermarket and got some meat, some toast, onions and BBQ-sauce. Perfect dinner! We sat there until late and went in one of the clubs then.

Sunday I got up at 8 and was at the beach at half past 8. All the others were still asleep and the beach was really peaceful, cause it was so early in the morning. I did a little bit of surfing on Friday, but the waves were really high!! That’s what they said on the internet for the whole weekend. So my surfboard didn’t serve me a lot, but just for being in the waves without it, it was great! Just jumping around and do bodysurfing. Later that day I went to the shopping mall (the Pacific Fair) with one of my friends. It’s a really really big mall and we stayed there until the evening. You can get there easily by bus. We spent the evening sitting at the beach. That was such a nice atmosphere, sitting beneath the stars, watching the ocean, having serious conversations..

Monday morning we already had check out again. The weekend passed so fast!! Again I was at the beach at half past 8 (best time for the beach!) and the others joined one by one. In the afternoon we had a last BBQ at the beach promenade and then took the train back home. Now I’m really relaxed and ready to work on my assignments, what I really have to!!

But I already booked flights to Sydney for the last weekend in May A friend of mine is living there and I will visit her. And I will join two trips of Quest the coming weekends. One to Stradbroke Island and one to the Hinterlands. You see I’m really busy with travelling And busy with Uni, too. Next week I have a group presentation (we are already practicing) and a small exam. And the week afterwards another assignment, what is really difficult.. But I will start it within the next days…
