St Leo's College will provide three $2,000 scholarships per year for three residents, who undertake overseas studies as part of their degree. These scholarships are subject to the following conditions:
- The overseas study must be an approved UQ Abroad program;
- The person(s) must be resident at St Leo’s College at the time of approval by UQ Abroad and be approved by St Leo’s to be a continuing resident in any subsequent year;
- The resident(s) selected may undertake either a semester or a year’s overseas study, according to the conditions set by UQ Abroad;
- The resident(s) will be guaranteed residency at St Leo’s upon their return to the College after the semester or the year’s absence;
- The resident(s) will be awarded a scholarship (remission of fees at St Leo's) upon return being a total value of $1,000 per semester of exchange (max of two semesters). Thus one year’s study would attract a $2,000 remission of the fees at Leo’s for the year of their return, being $1,000 remission per semester; one semester would attract a $1,000 remission of the fees for the year of their return, being $500.00 per semester.
