All students studying at Rutgers are required to maintain adequate health coverage throughout the duration of their exchange. Information regarding the Rutgers Student Health Insurance Plan, including costs and benefits, can be found here.

Students may be eligible to waive the Rutgers Student Health Insurance Plan if they have sufficient coverage and meet Rutgers' minimum requirements for coverage. For more information on how to obtain a waiver, see the insurance link above. Please note that the waiver of the Rutgers Student Health Insurance Plan is not guaranteed and is subject to  Rutgers' approval. If your current insurance does not meet Rutgers' minimum requirements for coverage you will be required to purchase Rutgers' Student Health Insurance Plan.
