FAST FACTS:

- Founder's Building (pictured above) has the feel of a British public school.  It is a Grade 1 listed building modelled on the famous Château de Chambord in France and is often featured in films. The Picture Gallery is a hidden secret in this building.

- Royal Holloway is particularly strong in Arts and Humanities, including Classics, Drama and Theatre, English Literature and Victorian Studies.

- Some of its halls of residence were used to host athletes and team officials taking part in the 2012 London Olympic Rowing and Canoe Sprint events.
