All students studying at OSU are required to maintain adequate health coverage throughout the duration of their exchange. Information regarding the OSU Student Health Insurance Plan, including costs and benefits, can be found here

Students may be eligible to waive the OSU Student Health Insurance Plan if they have sufficient coverage and meet OSU's minimum requirements for coverage. For more information on how to obtain a waiver, see the link above. Please note that the waiver of the OSU Student Health Insurance Plan is not guaranteed and is subject to OSU's approval. If your current insurance does not meet OSU's minimum requirements for coverage you will be required to purchase OSU's Student Health Insurance Plan. It is not recommended that you purchase an addition insurance plan until you have confirmed that your host university will accept the policy.
