Netherlands

Kees Tonkin: Universiteit Maastricht (Semester 1, 2011)
Having just returned from a year abroad in The Netherlands, I am able to reflect on many different experiences which I hope will answer some questions you may have with the exchange process. I am a Masters student within the Economics faculty at UQ and decided to complete an exchange as a way of broadening my tertiary education.

Charles Driver: University of Amsterdam (Semester 1, 2011)
Amsterdam - a beautiful, lively, liberal city, with everything located within an easy cycle. There are interesting things going on every night, and a relaxed approach from both the people and authorities regarding how others wish to live their lives.

Brooke Edwards: Universiteit Maastricht (Semester 1, 2011)
Studying abroad at Maastricht University was a phenomenal experience! I always knew that going on exchange was something that I really wanted to do but what I didn’t realize was that it was something that I needed to do (at the risk of sounding cliché!). I learnt so much about the world and different cultures and myself – it is a priceless experience!

Monique Muusers: University of Maastricht (Semester 2, 2010)
All the organizing is pretty straight forward too, because they have a lot of exchange students they have a really easy system set up, and the business faculty is completely in English which makes everything super easy!

Matthew Bricalli: Technical University of Delft (Semesters 2, 2009 and 1, 2010)
We always found something to do, largely because of the crazy ‘erasmus’ or European exchange students, with the one goal of having a great time!

Adam Head: Technical University of Delft (Semester 1, 2010)
The culture and the travel has really changed my view of people and taught me many valuable lessons which I could not have learnt while at UQ.
