Full time load equivalent:

Full-time Academic classes: 12 credits (4 academic courses)

Full-time Mandarin Chinese Regular Program: 180 class hours (3 hours every day from Monday to Friday for 12 weeks). Students must complete a minimum of 153 class hours in order to meet the full-time study load requirement. 

Academic classes + part-time Mandarin class: 9 credits (3 academic courses) + a minimum of 46 (out of 54) class hours of Mandarin


Fields of Study Available:

Students can choose between the four tracks: 

  1. Full-time Mandarin class only
  2. Academic classes only
  3. Academic classes + part-time Mandarin class* (Part-time Mandarin students will have to pay the tuition fee of $10,100 TWD in advance. When the Mandarin class ends, NCCU will review the final grade and attendance to decide the tuition reimbursement.) 
  4. For full-year exchange only: Full-time Mandarin class in the first semester + academic classes only in the second semester

If you have mainland Chinese, Hong Kong or Macau nationality, NCCU can only accept single-semester exchange in the "Academic Classes Only" track. 

NCCU on-campus dormitory (4-person shared room, limited places) and off-campus International House (limited places)

All exchange students are required to pay a Student Safety Insuranace Fee of TWD$126 per semester (as in January 2016).
