Motomu Mishima: University of Leeds (Semester 1, 2011)

UQ Program: Bachelor of Applied Science

The time I spent in UK for the last 6 months is unforgettable and it is the best time of my life. Exchange is such a great opportunity to explore the world – gain deeper understanding of other cultures and meet people from all over the world.

Leeds is a student-orientated city and it makes so much easier to meet new people. Also, as there are lots of incoming exchange students and everyone is willing to make new friends, you could become friends with those exchange students quickly and it is just amazing how fast you can be friends with people from around the world.

As there are lots of incoming exchange students, the University of Leeds is well organized for incoming exchange students with great support. For example, the student abroad office and the student union organize an amazing orientation week, which you can meet all the incoming exchange and local students. Also, student abroad office organizes social activities which happen every weekend. Because of such an extensive support from the University of Leeds, you will soon feel at home and enjoy your time in Leeds.
