UQ Program: Bachelor of Science
I love Singapore and I love my exchange. Singapore is fast paced lifestyle and there is always something to do around Singapore. You can have a badminton match with exchange students in the morning in Serangoon and then watch an Indian dance in the Art theatre in Burgis in the afternoon. Spend the evening to go shopping in Harbour Front and take a cable car to Sentosa and enjoy the night beach party with the locals.
At school, there are multi-cultural festivals that people share their own cuisine and wearing their tradition dress. You will be surprised that Singapore is so diversified with people from different background. NUS students are very friendly and have good study ethic and work hard. It is a pleasure to listen famous successful stories of hard working Singaporeans from the locals.
I also love the varied cuisine and the melting pot culture here. I also enjoy the fact that Singapore is very small so it is really easy to get around. Singapore has excellent railway transportation system and you can go anywhere in the whole country in 2 hours by train. I’m also very interested in travelling and it is at a perfect location in South East Asia. There are so many places you can go in a weekend base trip.
Singapore is a modernized and vibrant city with a good mixture of cultures, food and people. If you speak English, you will find it really easy to integrate. Singapore is a good choice for your exchange.
