Guide to Studying Abroad in Lüneberg

Factsheet for international exchange students

A 4 week language and orientation program (worth 5 ECTS) is offered to all incoming exchange students. This program includes German language classes, a guided tour of  Lüneberg and a city rally, various social events, a day trip to Hamburg and a 3-day trip to Berlin.

Buddy System: Exchange students are matched up with a "buddy"- a fellow student who will help you settle in and make you feel at home in Lüneberg. Your buddy will also pick you up at the airport or the train station and take you to your place of accommodation.

'Discover! Lower Saxony and Bremen' is an initiative run by Leuphana and surrounding universities to help students explore all there is to offer in the Lower Saxony and Bremen region. Students are invited to join in social activities and excursions including everything from hiking in the local Harz mountains or enjoying one of Lüneberg's many festivals, to trying the local beer during a tour of the Beck & Co. brewery!
