Student Exchange Programs

  • Japan in Today's World (JTW) is open to students of any major and any Japanese language background. Please see enrolment requirements and course choices at here. In addition to JTW core courses in Japanese Studies (taught in English, usually 2-3 credits each), students can also do Japanese Language Courses available at different levels from Absolute Beginner to Advanced (usually 4 language courses for 4 credits per semester). 
  • Japanese Language and Culture Course (JLCC) program is open to students majoring in Japanese studies and requires advanced Japanese Language Proficiency equivalent to JLPT N2 or above. Program starts in October (UQ Semester 2) for full-year exchange only.

Students can also enrol in courses in Japanese Society and Culture.
