Restricted Fields of Study:

For advanced Year 3 courses at Edinburgh: you should have completed at least 3 courses in a relevant discipline at Grade B (i.e. a 5 at UQ) or above to be considered.

For students who wish to study only Law on exchange: limited course choice as the majority of advanced Law courses are not open to exchange students.

As UQ does not have a direct exchange agreement with the School of Law, please do NOT select courses with the following pre-requisite:

This course is only open to visiting students coming through a direct exchange with the School of Law (this includes Erasmus students on a Law Exchange).

OR

Please note that you are very unlikely to get a place on an Honours Law course unless you are on a direct exchange with the School of Law (this includes Erasmus law exchange students).

-  Edinburgh hosts the largest arts festival in the world - Edinburgh Fringe Festival - in August. Or start the new year in (Scottish) style at the famous Hogmanay Street Party.


- The Old Town, where the university is situated, is a beautiful medieval part of Edinburgh and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

- Edinburgh has a club for everyone, including Harry Potter Society, International Student Centre (ISC - organising great weekend trips) and Edinburgh University Snow Sports Club (EUSSC - organising ski trips to continential Europe).

- Secure a seat in the back room of The Elephant House with a view of the Edinburgh Castle. The cafe has been the place of inspiration of authors JK Rowling, Ian Rankin, Alexander McCall-Smith and many more.
