Budget for exchange
The amount of money you will need to cover living expenses while you are on exchange will depend on:
- where you go
- the value of the Australian dollar at the time of your exchange; and
- your own spending habits
There are a number of scholarships, grants and loans available to assist UQ students to go on exchange. All students who submit their exchange application by the deadline will be considered for competitive grants of $1000 and scholarships of $5000 (based on cumulative GPA).
How much does it cost to go on exchange?
As a general rule, you may need between AUD$10,000 -$12,000 per semester of overseas study.
