Chemical Engineering and Civil Engineering only

For Chem Eng only: Exchange students can enrol in courses from all Undergraduate years as long as they have the necessary prerequisites.

For Civil Eng only: Exchange students must select modules from a given year (usually Year III or Year IV) as Imperial runs a year-based program, not a modular one. Due to timetabling constraints, it is not possible to mix modules from different Undergraduate years or select from the Postgraduate syllabus. Email UQ Abroad if in doubt. Please Note: Year III study load is 64 ECTS.

IMPORTANT:

Imperial College London requires students to have in-depth knowledge of Matlab to complete several pieces of Years III and IV coursework. Students should do a course in Matlab at UQ if possible. Should no such course be available at UQ, Imperial College London can provide them with some course materials with which they could acquire a basic knowledge of this tool through self-study.
