Lachlan Rogers: University of Waterloo (Semester 1, 2011)Looking back at my exchange at the University of Waterloo I can honestly say I had the craziest, most interesting, most unbelievable and eventful 6 months of my life. I chose to study in Canada because I wanted to experience a real North American Winter with subzero temperatures and snow. I chose the University of Waterloo because it is known to have one of the best engineering programs in Canada and is an internationally known university.
Ned May: McGill University (Semester 1, 2011)Living in Montreal also allows for a lot of travel in and around the Quebec region. New York, Boston and Quebec City are all within a few hours of Montreal. I highly recommend skiing/snowboarding as much as possible if you are there for the winter semester. Joining clubs such as McGill Outdoors Club and MISN is great for meeting people from around the world and going on trips around the region.
Tarryn Minto: University of Alberta (Semester 1, 2011)Going on exchange is amazing. Not only do you get to see the world but you also get to experience a new culture and meet some incredible people. I chose the UofA because it snows, it’s in Canada and I was able to attend for two semesters and I am so glad I did; this year was incredible. I am particularly glad that I got to stay for the whole year and I would definitely recommend it if you can, because one semester goes by incredibly fast and you will really not want to leave.

Montreal especially is an incredibly fun and vibrant city. Character-filled bars, clubs, cafes and restaurants on every corner mean that there is a huge amount of things to do and there is always something interesting on offer.
