Before you go, you must attend a UQ Abroad pre-departure seminar.
UQ Abroad holds pre-departure seminars for students going on exchange in the following semester. Seminars are held:
- in May/June (for students going out in semester 2)
- in October (for students going out in semester 1 the following year).
You will be notified by email about the pre-departure seminar you should attend.
At the pre-departure seminar, you'll be given important information on:
- enrolment
- Insurance
- credit transfer
- culture shock
- returning home
It's all contained in the UQ Abroad Pre-departure Guide. Pre-departure seminars are also a great opportunity to talk to returned UQ Abroad students, who have been to the university or country that you are going to. It's also a good chance to meet up with other UQ students going to the same place as you!
