The experimental task involves moving each of four controls in varying sequences and directions to move an image in a virtual world. Participants aged 18-65, with normal or corrected-to-normal vision, and who do not suffer from colour blindness, are sought for the 90-minute study. Have you suffered a brain injury?
Volunteers are needed for a research project examining social skills in people who have suffered brain injuries. People with frontal lobe damage often exhibit altered self-awareness, social behaviour, and increased social vulnerability, despite having spared intellectual capacities. These difficulties cause severe disruptions at work, at home, and in personal relationships. Currently, there are no good ways to detect these problems. The project aims to develop measures to identify people with social difficulties, define the severity and nature of the behavioural disturbance, and provide benchmarks for progress during rehabilitation. Details: email Catherine Hynes, or phone 0401 252 837.
