Senate approves INSIGHT project implementation

Following recent staff presentations, last week the new UQ brand launch campaign and submission on Corporate Identity Guidelines and HUPP were presented to the University Senate. The campaign presentation received very positive feedback and the HUPP policy changes and new Corporate Identity Guidelines were approved. Staff will be advised shortly on implementation timeframes for introducing rebranded materials. For example, there will be changes made to some of our main UQ website pages from this week. Staff are encouraged to look at the range of brand information provided on the staff brand website and direct further questions to insight@uq.edu.au. The INSIGHT team remains ready to engage directly with your team or department to assist in brand implementation.

UQ brand launch campaign

Including television, cinema, press, billboards and online advertising, the new UQ brand campaign has begun. To date, in early tracking on the campaign microsite, web traffic indicates significant interest. Data collected from the microsite will be captured by our CRM system and utilised in the design of future campaigns and relationship management programs. The INSIGHT team and OMC staff wish to sincerely thank the many people who have collaborated on this project thus far and to especially thank the staff, students and graduates who agreed to feature in the brand launch campaign; we'd love to hear from more of our staff, students, graduates and partners in the coming months. Mill Road carpark delay explained

UQ Traffic & Parking apologises for the delay in re-opening this carpark, but it is expected that work will commence in early April, and that the refurbished carpark will re-open during the latter part of semester one. The first re-design was rejected in December because it did not meet acceptable safety standards for users of the area including pedestrians, cyclists and drivers. UQ Traffic & Parking then became aware that the adjacent area was home to several families of stone curlews. The current delay has been due to preparation of an environmental report and management plan for the curlew habitat.
