Paths to take at night

A campus of 114 hectares can be pretty intimidating - especially at night. Even though the University makes every effort to keep its community safe, personal safety is everyone's responsibility.

Like anywhere, some paths and roads on campus are safer than others - because they are a main thoroughfare, better lit, more closely patrolled etc.

Keep to well-beaten tracks at night. Currently the map outlining the main pedestrian paths we suggest you stick to, especially if walking by yourself, is not available on-line but will be coming soon. If you would like a copy of the map you can pick one up from Security, colleges, the Office of Marketing and Communications or the Student Union's Women's Equal Opportunity Area.
