Laundry
The College is fully equipped to cater for laundry needs with eco friendly washing machines and industrial dryers. Irons and ironing boards are supplied in laundries.
Cleaning
All student rooms are cleaned once a week by the friendly college cleaning staff. Bathrooms are kept bright and fresh with a daily clean, as are all public areas on college. |

IT Services
Access to the College network (1Gb internet/UQ connection, 1Gb intra-college connectivity, with full duplex 200mbps rating for each 100mbps student room connection).
Public areas of College are equipped with wireless connection points.
The College computer room provides 24 hour access for residents to a modern, air conditioned, fully equipped and maintained computer laboratory and specialized lap top study area. Connecting your computer to our network is usually fast and trouble-free. |

Security
Union College - we strive to create a safe, secure and harmonious environment in which to live.
- Individual room keys are issued to residents
- Duty Resident Mentors are available each day to assist residents
- Head of College and Deputy Head of College live on the College site
- College Office is staffed on most weekdays from 9.00am to 10.00pm to provide services to residents. Weekend Office hours are 10am to 4pm
- From 10pm, a Security Guard is present on the site until the early hours of the following morning
- Residents have direct emergency access to the Security Guard's mobile from any phone in College
- Security Bus service operates between the College and University to ensure safe travelling at night
- Pathways from Union College to University are well lit
- Access to all accommodation levels is only available by use of electronic fob issued to residents
- College is enclosed by a secure fence with fob only controlled access after hours
