UQ Undergraduate Research Conference 2011
Tuesday, September 13 - Wednesday, September 14
Nominations to present at the conference have now closed.
The Office of Undergraduate Education in collaboration with UQ’s Faculties will present the 2011 UQ Undergraduate Research Conference. The objective is to showcase the University's best undergraduate research projects and allow student researchers to share their work through oral and poster presentations. This university wide conference will stimulate interaction between students and researchers, initiate the process of multidisciplinary engagement, self discovery and perhaps even shape career decisions.
All University of Queensland undergraduate students including honours students from any discipline are encouraged to participate. Students will self-nominate to present their work at the conference. Each Faculty will then select outstanding undergraduate student researchers to give an oral presentation or a poster presentation of their work.
The following prizes will be awarded:
- $1000 for each of the three best oral presentations
- $600 for each of the three best posters
The conference will be held in the Innes Room, first floor, UQ Union. The presentations will commence on Tuesday, September 13, at 9 am and will continue until 4 pm on Wednesday, September 14.
Anyone is welcome to attend the conference, including staff, colleagues, friends and family. Please contact Julie Davey on 33652954 or j.davey@uq.edu.au if you would like any information about session times or details.
