UQ Sponsorship Grant

The UQ Sponsorship Grant provides support for student clubs, associations and societies to further develop their skills, networks and experiences during their studies at the University of Queensland.

Who is eligible?

Individuals representing student clubs, societies and associations of the University of Queensland may apply for funding to support a student-led activity which will enhance student engagement, leadership skills and professional development. University staff members are not eligible to submit an application. Applicants must be currently enrolled at The University of Queensland and remain enrolled for the duration of the activity/event. Please read the guidelines before submitting an application form.

Application due dates

Applications are open throughout the academic semesters only (early March to end October).Applicants, including student society/club/association representatives are required to submit the application form, and then may be requested to meet with the Director of the Office of Undergraduate Education or delegate, to discuss the proposed project, activity or event and demonstrate the benefit to the organization, and to the University of Queensland.

Please note that applications must be submitted at least 4 weeks prior to the date of the proposed activity, applications will not be considered retrospectively and in some cases grant payment may occur after the prosed activity.

UQ Coffee Appreciation Club

"The UQ Coffee Appreciation Club organised Clean Up Australia at Guyatt Park with the support of the University of Queensland and the Walter Taylor Ward, Brisbane City Council.  The event was very successful and well received by the local community in St Lucia.We hope to encourage students to be more aware of their environment and to not carelessly dispose of their litter.We were delighted that participating students made friends at the event and got to know other people staying in the suburb."
