To help you learn student names: Provide name badges – these can be given out as people arrive. Write the names in large print so that they are easy-to-read Have students sit in the same seats for the first few weeks until you are able to match names with faces Have students give their name before they speak Use students' names as often as possible Have students make place cards on the first day of class that sit on the desk in front of them.
