Monique Waite

Ms. Monique Waite graduated from The University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology and first class honours in 2004. Having been awarded an Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) Scholarship, she commenced her PhD in 2005 under the supervision of Assoc Prof Deborah Theodoros, Dr Trevor Russell, and Dr Louise Cahill. Her research interests include the delivery of quality speech pathology services to children living in rural and remote areas.


PhD Project: Online Assessment and Treatment of Childhood Speech, Language, and Literacy Disorders

This project aims to validate the online assessment and treatment of children with communication disorders. It investigates the assessment of children with speech, language and literacy disorders via an online telehealth application using both formal and informal measures. The project then aims to validate the online treatment of literacy disorders.
